Three minutes into the first quarter of the New York Knicks Miami Heat game, Kristaps Porzingis and Justise Winslow were running hard, chasing a loose ball. In the process, Winslow stepped on Porzingis’ right foot, as it turned and his ankle rolled. After spending minutes on the floor, he was helped to locker room with the support of his teammate and a Knicks staff member. The medical staff ran x-rays which came back negative, making Porzingis available to return to action in tonight’s game. That is a huge break for the Knicks. Missing their star forward would make it difficult to sustain an above .500 record.
