The NBA Christmas game lineup started with a star studded game at Madison Square Garden where the Sixers and Knicks faced off.
The Sixers came off a of a prior five game losing streak before they beat the Knicks 105-98.
Sixers guard Redick finished the game with 24 points (6-10), 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Future all-star Joel Embiid finished with 25 points (8-17), 16 rebounds and three assists.
Knicks center Enes Kanter was the highlight of the New York Knicks today coming off an all-star performance posting 31 point and 22 rebounds in 36 minutes.
The Sixers lead the game in 3 point percentage at 34%, as opposed to the Knicks showing a shooting slump shooting 27% from behind the arc.
The New York Knicks were exposed today through their point-guard play. Knicks starting guard Jarrett Jack went scoreless (0-5) and rookie point guard Frank Ntilikina failed the run the offense effectively late in the 4th quarter, while posting an inefficient stat line going 2 of 8 and 0 of 2 from 3 point land.
Sixers backup point T.J. McConnell burned the Knicks with his crafty and savy thinking finishing with 15 points, four rebounds and five assists.
The Sixers and Knicks game was full of future stars emerging that showcased that the young talent in the NBA is coming sooner than later.
