A Facebook Livestream Of The Ball Brothers Pro Debut Literally Garners 1.6M Viewers

Lord have mercy, the Ball brothers literally own basketball America. Say what you want about them, LaVar, etc. They put asses in the seats. Clearly. 1.6M views over a 3 hour span during the middle of the day on a Tuesday is crazy. If you think about it, a Lithuanian basketball game featuring two average, to below average players gets the same ratings as prime time NBA games. While out-rating every single talk show that will headline this game combined.

CBS

Tuesday marked the pro debut of LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball, as they led their Lithuanian team, Vytautas, to a 90-80 win over Zalgiris. With papa LaVar and mama Tina in attendance, LiAngelo finished with 19 points and three rebounds while LaMelo added 10 points, nine assists and six turnovers.

Despite the two hilarious bricks that went viral early on, not too shabby on the stat sheet playing against grown men. I’m not sure if that’s a testament more to their skill, or the fact America is just that much better than anybody else at basketball. Regardless, watching this experiment unfold is going to be the definition of a crazy train.
