Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love has been ruled out 6-8 weeks with a fracture left hand Wednesday night.
According to ESPN, the injury occurred during the first quarter in a matchup against the Detroit Pistons the Tuesday night.
Love grabbed his hand after colliding with Pistons center Andre Drummond under the basket. He was bent over holding the hand in pain.
Team officials said Love received X-rays in the arena, which revealed the fracture in his left hand. This however, is not the first time Love injured this hand.
In 2009, Love underwent surgery on the hand which resulted in three screws being inserted. This will now put Love’s All Star availability in to question, but the Cavs championship hopes into bigger questions.
