DeAndre Jordan Scores Career-High as Boston’s Struggles Continue

DeAndre Jordan scored a career-high 30 points and had 13 rebounds in the Los Angeles Clippers 129-119 win over the Boston Celtics. The Clippers have won 13 of their last 18 games entering the All-star break.

The most impressive part of Jordan’s big night was his shooting from the charity stripe. Jordan shot 8-of-9 from the free-throw line, making Boston’s “Hack-a-Jordan” strategy ineffective late in the game.

Six other players scored in double figures for the Clippers, with Tobias Harris posting 21 points, and Danilo Gallinari having a near double-double with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Lou Williams had 19 points and team-high six assists off the bench.

For Boston, the loss marked their fourth loss in their previous five games. Their three-game losing streak has resulted in the Celtics(40-19) falling behind the Toronto Raptors(41-16) for the first seed in the Eastern Conference. Despite the loss, Kyrie Irving was sensational with 33 points and eight assists.
