Earlier today, it was reported by New York Post Sports that the New York Knicks are currently piling up assets to make a run at Wizards Point Guard John Wall. Wall has been on the trade block for some time now but he has been unattractive to teams around the league due to his massive contract. The Knicks have a bright future. Potentially bringing in John Wall to a nice young core will have it’s pros and cons. John Wall is a very reliable asset on the court, but off the court is where teams have their concerns. The former #1 overall pick has had some trouble being sucked into the night life in Washington. I’m not so sure that the New York night life will help him stay in line and keep his focus on the Knicks. He has also struggled with keeping himself in shape during the off-season.

Despite these reports, he is still managing to put up solid numbers this season, averaging 21.3 points, 8.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game through 24 games. He is an athletic play-maker and he would compliment Porzingis nicely once Kristaps is able to return from his knee injury. If he can keep his mind on basketball and play up to his All-Star standards, this would create yet another threat in the Eastern Conference.
