Just when you thought the Nuggets were good, they are now swaggy good. Bobby Marks an insider from ESPN reported on Monday morning that the Denver Nuggets have signed the 11-Year Veteran Nick Young. Young was not signed by anyone in his free agency after winning a title with Golden State last season, so he has spent a lot of time working out independently in LA this offseason.
Young told the Denver Post “It’s humbling being at home just chilling, watching TV, playing with the kids” followed up by “I missed it a little bit.” The Swaggy P rumors in Denver began a month ago when injuries began to strike the Nuggets. Denver Post says the Nuggets president of basketball operations has had tabs on Young for a while now in case he was needed.
Young has a 37% career 3-point shot and averaged 7.3 points in 17 minutes in his last season as a Splash Bro. Although his numbers are not always there, the charisma and confidence of Swaggy P is always at 100%. Young will definitely see minutes early on with injuries hitting the Nuggets. Starters out for Denver include Will Barton (hip), Gary Harris (hip), and Paul Millsap (broken toe). It will definitely be fun to see what Nick Young can do with a top-ranked Denver team.
