In his past 11 games with the Rockets, the reigning MVP has been putting on a show for the climbing Houston team. Houston is sitting at 15-14 and only a half game back from the 8th seed held by Sacramento. Although the Western Conference itself is heating up, James Harden maybe cooking a lot faster.
Houston is 6-5 while James Harden is putting up his MVP caliber stats. He is currently leading the league in scoring with 31.6 points per game and is shooting threes at 37% taking just about 11 per game. Although Harden still gets picked on in isolation situations and sometimes gets blown by on defense, he is the only player other than his MVP self last season to have a high usage rate and be efficient on the floor.
With Chris Paul off to a rather slow start, the Rockets will need Harden to be a complete stat stuffer as he has in recent weeks if they want to keep winning. Currently, Harden sits at 31.6 PPG, 8.2 APG, 5.7 RPG, 2 SPG, and is shooting with exquisite percentages. Although the Rockets sit rather low than what they projected to be, James Harden continues to put on for H-Town and show why he is the reigning MVP.
